Mark your calendar. The CEB-US 2023 National Conclave will be held in Oklahoma on December 12-16. In partnership with our regional affiliate club, Chisholm Trail Epagneul Breton Gun Dog Club and Prairie Prime Wingshooting Club, the event will be a celebration of the breed and the premier gathering of Epagneul Breton enthusiasts.
Tentative itinerary. The Conclave Committee is working to finalize the event schedule based on venue availability, resource allocation and logistical preparation. While subject to change, the daily events are projected to be:
Wednesday, December 13 - Wild Trial followed by Banquet and Auction
Thursday, December 14 - Conformation and Specialty Show
Friday, December 15 - Liberated Trial
Saturday, December 16 - Liberated Trial
Educational seminars. Our goal is to include clinics throughout the event. Potential topics include bird dog first aid, best practices for breeding, preparing your dog for the show ring, and more. We will also be hosting a Breton Bolt (both locally and virtually).
Conclave location. The CEB-US’s base of operations will be set up at the Lincoln County Fair Grounds. There are numerous AirBnB options and RV camper sites nearby. We will send out a list of preferred lodging options in a future newsletter. Trial grounds. Trials will be run about 10 minutes from the Fair Grounds at Prairie Prime Wingshooting Club. The ranch features classic quail habitat filled with coveys and a lake for the WRT.
